Alejandro “Alex” Aguirre, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was 54 years of age. Alex was born on February 13, 1960, in Taft, Texas. He worked as an electrician for thirty-five years. He was an avid sports fan. Alex will be remembered as a loving husband and dedicated father. He lived his life for his wife and son and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Rufina Aguirre.
Alex leaves to cherish his memory his wife of fifteen years, Peggy Aguirre; son Alex Aguirre, Jr.; siblings, Regina (Jose) Gomez of Odem, Texas, Pablo (Mary Lou) Aguirre, Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas, Maricela (Augustine) Lara of Edroy, Texas, Elsa Aguirre of Waxahachie, Texas, Arturo (Lisa) Aguirre of Corpus Christi, and Agapito (Mary Jane) Aguirre of Taft.
Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2014, from 12:00 noon until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Taft. Burial will follow the service at The Palms Memorial Gardens, Portland, Texas..
