William R. "Bill" Pursifull, 81 of Markle passed away at 7:18 am on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne. Bill was a 1951 graduate of Rockcreek High School in Huntington County. He worked as a commodity broker for 15 years and was a lifetime farmer in Huntington County. He was a member of the Markle Church of Christ. He loved to tell a good story and he enjoyed raising pheasant, turkeys and chickens.

Bill was born on December 3, 1933 in Huntington County, a son of Cedric N. and Velta E. (Redman) Pursifull.

He was united in marriage to Martha R. Kelsey on February 12, 1977 in Fort Wayne. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: William R. (Peggy) Pursifull, Jr. of Huntington; Robert Pursifull of Sebring, FL; two daughters: Vicki (Roger) Stephens of Huntington; Sherry (Carl) Keuneke of South Whitley; a stepson: Mark Hamilton of Leo, IN; a stepdaughter: Peggy (Blake) Caley of Markle; three brothers: Ted (Cathy) Pursifull of Weiser, ID; David (Wilma) Pursifull of Rochester, IN; Gary (Connie) Pursifull of Bullhead, AZ; two sisters: Betty (Fred) Keller of Vero Beach, FL; Marlene "Sally" (Don) Eschenbacher of Zanesville; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, seven step grandchildren and one step great grandchild.

He was preceded by and infant sister: Wanda L. Pursifull and a stepson: Michael Hamilton.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 4:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.

Interment will be at the Emmanuel Cemetery in Rockford, Indiana at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made out to Visiting Nurse and Hospice or Markle Church of Christ both in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
