Eugene Theodore Haberski
October 7th 1933 - January 12th 2015
Eugene (Gene) Haberski passed Monday January 12th after a year long battle with cancer. Gene was born in Detroit where his family owned a market. When Gene was a young boy, the family purchased a dairy farm in rural Michigan where they worked and lived until Gene was a senior in high school. They moved west to southern California where Gene completed High School. Gene's college career was cut short when he was drafted into the army, after his discharge he moved back to southern California where he married Joyce Andersen. Gene finished his college degree and found employment as an engineer at North American Aviation in Anaheim. Gene and Joyce raised 5 children, first in Lynwood and then in Chino. Gene finished his career at Rockwell International in 1994 and he and Joyce moved to Palmdale. Gene is preceded in death by Joyce Haberski and his Grandson Dennis Norton. Gene is survived his Wife Anna Haberski, his children; Michael Haberski (Jane), Mary McGillicuddy (Terry), Steven Haberski (Connie), Susan Hurlburt (Brian) and Laura Lederhous (Jason). Gene is also survived by 11 grandchildren. A Rosary will be at Joshua Mortuary Palmdale, 3150 E. Palmdale Blvd on Friday January 16th at 6:00pm. A funeral mass will be at Blessed Junipero Serra Parish, 42121 North 60th St. West on Saturday, January 17th at 9:00 am

Worked a number of years with Gene when he was assoc Prg Mgr for Strategic Nav at Rockwell. I was a young engineer and he was great mentor, leader and friend. My deepest condolences.
