Mr. Roby Don "Pop" Moretz, 82, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at the Hayworth Cancer Center of High Point Regional Hospital.
Mr. Moretz was born on July 22, 1932 in Watauga County, NC to the late Sherman and Lucy Arnette Moretz. He loved to travel across the United States and especially enjoyed flying. For over 40 years, he worked as part owner and operator of Moretz and Sons Auto Repair in Trinity. On October 17, 1951, he married the former Willa Gray Howell, who preceded him in death on December 14, 2005. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by a son, Timmy Moretz.
Surviving are his daughters, Donna Howell of High Point, Donnette Miller and her husband Michael of Trinity; son, Donald "Eugene" Moretz and his wife Joyce of High Point; and five grandchildren, Brandy Peddle and husband Joel, Eden Amick, Shannon Moretz and wife Joanie, Aislynn Kiser and her husband Marcus, and Billy Miller and wife Candise. Also surviving are eleven great grandchildren, Taylor, Brittany, Mackenzie, Carley, Harrison, Skylar, Gabby, Sam, Ashe, Charlee, and Sawyer; one great-great grandchild, Paisley Kearns; and his little pet, Peanut.
A celebration of Mr. Moretz's life will be held at 3 pm Friday, January 23, 2015 in the chapel of Sechrest Funeral Service, 120 Trindale Road, Archdale, with Reverend Harold Marlowe officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Chapel Wesleyan Church Cemetery, High Point. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

We tried to find out info when he passed and could never find anything ,And randomly i come across this today..Don was such an Awesome kind hearted spirit ..Man did he have stories to tell..There is nothing that this man would not do for anyone that was in need..Don really touched our lives in so many ways and was alway willing to help out selflessly !! We were blessed to get to visit with him im guessing about a year before he passed..Lets just say Don was an amazing man inside and out
!!! He will be greatly missed and always loved..xoxox
