I feel privlaged to have had Jim in my life. He has been my friend, dog training buddy, mentor and supporter. He was always ready to share his wealth of knowledge with anyone who asked and I asked a lot. When they left Florida, I knew he was only a phone call away and I loved to hear his friendly voice. I will miss him dearly.

I'm gonna miss you! We've been good friends for 20+ years. Dog training and showing brought us together but our friendship went well beyond the dogs. That didn't mean we didn't love to reminisce about those good old days. We began as training buddies and fierce competitors raising each other's bar and at the same time always helping each other.
We lived over an hour apart and for years we'd meet up at least once a month to train together. And all those hours and hours and hours we'd spend talking on the phone solving each other's latest training/trialing challenge. I think we were paying for minutes then weren't we our phone bills got a little high as I recall. Thank God for our trusting and supportive spouses!
In these last 10 years as our dog training time drew to an end we remained friends. I think we always knew we'd be friends to the end. There really wasn't anything we couldn't or wouldn't talk about Florida, fishing , computers, cars, phones, roses, birds, relationships, religion, family, holidays, good books, politics, war, travel, work, sports, health, worries and fears and of course, food, just to name a few.
I made a cherry pie Saturday morning oddly ironic.
There are so many things that will make me think of you. I'm gonna miss you.
If you're not early, you're late.
Fond memories of all of our times together, out to dinner with our spouses or just sitting around talking; I can see you now, you'd get some thought going, I could always tell when you were about to come out with a priceless one liner. You'd get that twinkle in your eye with that devious smile of yours and wham; we'd hear a Jim-ism. I will remember that twinkle and that smile.
RIP my friend until we meet again, I'm gonna miss you. Diane

Jim is such a special friend to our family. Always so full of memories and special events with Sharon and his buddy Tester. He especially enjoyed their last cruise together, he told me how he loved that salty air. We will miss you old friend but we will see you again, that I am sure of. We are praying for you Sharon. May God be with you.
