Iva Jo White, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 in Abilene. Mrs. White was 87 years old. Funeral services will be at 10am on Monday, March 23, 2015 at Grace Methodist Church where she was a faithful member for over 60 years. James Holman will be officiating. Burial will follow in Potosi Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 542 Hickory St. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Iva was born on December 22, 1927 in Seymour, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. G.I. Webb. She was a very kind and caring woman and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George A. White; her sisters, Connie Allmond and Vina Mae Webb; her brothers, Granville and Hershel Webb; and a grandson, Robert Mitchell. Survivors include her daughter, Wilma Abron (Michael); her son, Dewayne White (Mary); three granddaughters, Letitia Guajardo (Russell), Nina Jenkins (Garry), and Victoria White (Kenny); one grandson, Mark Abron; three great-granddaughters, Aubree Loftin, Sierra Jenkins, and Jada Abron; two great-grandsons, Mark Abron, Jr. and Gavin Jenkins; sister-in-law, Barbara White; brother-in-law, Grady White; and many nieces and nephews.
