James Harbison Obituary

James Franklin Harbison, age 50, of Morganton, passed away Sunday, May 24 2015. He was born the son of Frank Helton and Shirley Harbison on February 22, 1965 in Burke County. He was a member of Willow Tree A.M.E. Church, and loved caring for animals.

James is preceded in death by his father, Frank Helton.

Those left behind to cherish James's memory include his mother Shirley Harbison of the home; two brothers, Michael Dean and Herbert Ken Harbison of Morganton; two uncles, Sylvester and Ervin Harbison; and an aunt, Willie Avery, all of Morganton. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at Willow Tree A.M.E. Church with Rev. Willis Camp presiding. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Kirksey Funeral Home of Morganton has the honor of serving the Harbison family.
