Jose Duarte, 76, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015 in Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Sao Miguel, Azores, the son of the late Emanuel and Eliza (Garriro) Duarte. Mr. Duarte was employed as a Barber for Center Barber Shop in Barrington for 25 years, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and two dogs. He enjoyed gardening and celebrating the 4th of July. While living in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was a member of the Military Police.
He leaves his former wife Maria and their five children: Elizabeth M. Pirri and her husband Matteo of Bristol, Joseph Duarte and his wife Aimee of Somerset, MA, Pauline Panarello and her husband Matthew of Seekonk, Susan Duarte and her fiancé Khan Kieng of Warren and Lucy Duarte of Warren; seven grandchildren Maddie L. Pirri, Alex Abren, Autumn Duarte, Sydney Bigelow, Chace Duarte, Zoey Kieng and Bella Pirri; a great grandchild Emery Abren; four brothers and sisters Edwardo Duarte, Maria Corvelo, Antone Duarte and Mariette Menezes and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Carlos Duarte.
