VINTON – Jeannie Jowers Hubert, 58, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in a local hospital surrounded by those she loved most.
Jeannie was a lifelong Vinton resident and member of Crossroads Baptist Church. She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years in the Vinton area, the last 20 years with Cameron State/Iberiabank. The center of her world was her family; she enjoyed cooking for them as well as watching her grandchildren and grandpups. She also enjoyed crocheting. Jeannie was a very caring and giving person, serving her church faithfully in many capacities.
She is preceded in death by her father, Thurman Jowers; and grandparents, Jack and Mabel Holstead.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Donald Hubert; daughter, Nicole Hubert Hamilton of Sulphur; son, Jarrod Hubert and his wife Mandy of Vinton; mother, Barbara Jowers of Vinton; brother, Chris Jowers and his wife Vicki of Vinton; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Bryce and Brock Hubert; and grandpups, Pierre, Josie, Poppy, Linus, Bear, Annie, Kallie, and BeBe.
All services will be held in Crossroads Baptist Church of Vinton. Visitation will be 5 – 9pm Wednesday. Funeral services will be Thursday, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Niblett's Bluff Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
