Our beloved mother, wife, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend received her angel wings and flew to the heavens on the morning of June 22, 2015 at the age 55 where she was greeted by her mother and father James and Geraldine Edwards, sister Linda Edwards, grandparents Jack and Lonetta Duncan and son Demondre BrownJulie was Born in July 1959. Julie accepted Christ and was baptized at Double Rock Baptist Church in Los Angeles,California. Julie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and even though her health did not allow her to attend every Sunday her heart and soul was always there with trust and belief in Jesus.
Julie valiantly endured her physical health challenges without complaint, she fought a long hard battle with her illness but she was a strong soul and had so much faith and love in Jesus and a will to survive that got her through it all. She had a laugh like no other and always had a way of making others laugh even when she didn't intend to. She was the cook of the family for her children, she poured her heart and soul into everything she cooked. All who knew Julie looked forward to her home cooked meals. She made sure to pass down her love for cooking to her children by teaching them how to cook at a young age. Julie took her passion for cooking outside of the home where she was a lunch server for 11 years at several schools in the Salt Lake City School District. She was doing what she loved and also spending time with her kids and all the children in the Salt Lake Valley schools where she prepared meals. She made sure every child was served a healthy lunch. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 amazing children, Jaime, Mark Jr. and Julius Brown. and 7 precious grandchildren who was her pride and joy, Dajanay,Cam'ron, Jay'mesha, Lyric, Veronica, Kingston, and D'mondre, sister Doty (Jerry) Jones and 7 nieces and nephews, 6 great-nieces and 4 great-nephew and husband Mark Brown Sr. Julie will be deeply missed by a host of family, friends and everyone who knew her.
