With my deepest sympathy. Brenda was a wonderful secretary that taught me so much when I started at the school board office as a secretary. She was also a great friend. Nothing I can say will ease the pain but her entire family will be in my prayers. Kathy Hudson Handy

I was very fortunate to work with Brenda at Irisburg Elementary in my capacity as a school psychologist with Henry County Public Schools. She always helped me to find a place to conduct my testing or hold a meeting. Brenda knew the children and the children knew her to be caring and supportive. My prayers and thoughts are with her family as they go through this difficult time.

With deepest sympathy on the loss of a very special lady. We were honored to have her as a member of the Oakes family, and blessed to receive many of her ceramic art works at the family reunions. It will never be the same without her. May the Lord of Peace comfort you and surround you at this sad time.
Sincerely,
Glenda & Mark Oakes (son of Harmon, Jr.& Mozelle)

Brenda. I met her in a little country church near a crossroads many, many years ago. I was an egotistical young minister to be seeking perfection. Brenda had been called by God to help put back together the pieces of broken souls by the power of His blood. Would you be free from the burden of sin? There's pow'r in the blood, pow'r in the blood; Would you o'er evil a victory win? There's wonderful pow'r in the blood!
Brenda was at that little country church for most of her life ministering to the broken souls. One by one she struggled to mold them into resurrected vessels but even an out-of-towner could still see missing pieces here and there - along with blemishes and deep scars ingrained in the clay. She left them with plenty of cracks, it was said, to reveal their broken pasts. Through the broken cracks His light could shine forth into a dark and lost world. Shining forth so that other broken and sorrowful vessels could see a glimmer of lighta glimmer of hope in what once was only shattered shards of broken pastsall redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. There is pow'r in the blood.
