Paula (Rigley) Eremita, 88, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Calais, ME; daughter of James and Gertrude (Murphy) Rigley.
She is survived by her six children, Pat Eremita and Steve Dossa of Naugatuck, Susan Salafia of West Hartford, Michael Eremita and Heather of South Windsor, Jim Eremita of East Hartford, Janis Eremita of Hartford and Beth McClure and Michael of Calabasas, CA; her 10 cherished grandchildren, Matt, Megan, Willie, Toby, Stefanie, Jamie, Melissa, Marc, Raechel, Chelsea as well as 8 precious great-grandchildren and her sister Kay Biancucci of South Windsor; her niece Jill Kolinsky; her nephews, Jerry and Paul Biancucci. Paula was predeceased by a sister and 4 brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 1st, from 4 to 7PM, at Benjamin J. Callahan Funeral Home, 318 Burnside Ave., East Hartford. Funeral Services will begin at 9:30AM, on Thursday, July 2nd, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at Saint Christopher Church, 538 Brewer St. East Hartford. Burial will follow at Silver Lane Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paula's name may be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
