Passed away at The Gardens, Fairfax, VA on Wednesday, March 27, 2015 from congestive heart failure. She was born in Melbourne, Australia and lived there until 1947 when she came to the United States to marry her beloved husband, William, after a 2-year long distance romance. They were married for over 60 years until William died in 2008.
While in Australia, she was an actress, singer and dancer appearing in many productions of the JC Williamson Company, including Annie Get Your Gun and The King and I. Until moving to Fairfax in 1992, she lived in Huntington Beach, Ca. where she raised her sons and was an active member of the community and the military wives organization, The OWLS.
She is survived by her sons William and Drew, her brother Don of Melbourne, her daughter in law Victoria, her grandsons Zach, Ethan and Ben, and many nieces and nephews.
She will be laid to rest with her husband William at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, July 10, 2015 at 9 am.
