Bernice Perkins, 84, of Chicago, IL, was born into life in Memphis, TN on January 17, 1931, and born into eternity on July 20, 2015. Bernice is the beloved wife of the late William Perkins; dear daughter of the late Sylvester & Mary Gray; loving sister of James (Mattie) McBetts; adoring aunt of Venice McBetts; Godmother of Glenda Aldridge; caring cousin and fond friend of many. Bernice was a 19 year Member of ONE, Organization of the Northeast; 2008 Chicago Senior of the Year; President and former Vice President of the LAC, Local Advisory Council, 4645 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago; Lifelong Member of the Chicago Housing Authority Tenant Patrol; and Lifelong Member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church.
