Raymundo Margarito Rendon, Sr. passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015, four days after his 71st birthday. Raymundo was born in Sinton, Texas to Juan and Claudia Rendon. He worked with road machinery in the construction industry and was also a mail carrier before his retirement. He was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Taft.
Raymundo is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Isabel Rendon; son, Juan L. Rendon; and sister, Maria A. Guajardo.
Raymundo is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Angelita Longoria Rendon; children: Fernando (Olivia) Rendon of Porter, Texas, Sylvia Gonzalez, Pauline Rendon, Juan Manuel Rendon (Krystal), Sara Vershier (Glynn) and Raymundo M. Rendon, Jr. (Erika) all of Houston, Texas; grandchildren: John Paul, Daniel Rey, David Lee, Joseph, DaVonn, Morgan, Jeremiah, Meagen, and Ayrianna; siblings: Frances R. Schultz of Winter Springs, Florida, Juan (Ofelia) Rendon of Taft, Emelina Suarez of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tomas (Frances) Rendon of Waukesha, Wisconsin, Imelda (Israel) Ramirez of McAllen, Texas, Ernesto (Carmen) Rendon of Taft, Reynaldo Rendon and Lusinda Rendon both of Houston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be Friday, August 7, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Burial will follow at The Palms Memorial Gardens, Portland, Texas.
