Dixie L. Harrell, 76 of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Suncoast Hospice Home in Florida. Dixie had worked in Minnesota for a short time working for the Yellow Pages. Most recently she directed merchandising in Florida for Kayem Foods which included working with professional sports teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Lightning, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Dixie was born on September 1, 1939 in Markle, Indiana, a daughter of Charles H. and Lallah A. (Laughlin) Dennis, Sr.
Survivors include a daughter: Tiffany Harrell of Clearwater, FL; a sister: Betty Ellet of Markle; a brother: Gerald (Bonnie) Dennis of Markle and a grandson: Corbitt Harrell of St. Petersburg, FL.
She was preceded in death by a twin sister: Bonnie Dennis, a sister: Wilodene Moore and a brother: Charles H. "Chuck" Dennis, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 10:00 am with one hour of visitation prior to the service at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Interment will be at the Glenwood Cemetery in Roanoke.
Memorial donations can be made out to donor's choice of charity in care of Myers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 403, Markle, IN 46770.
