Mrs. Hilda Smith Russell, age 90, of Griffin, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Russell was born on September 29, 1925 in Cadwell, Ga. She was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie Mae Smith. She was a member of the Orchard Hill Baptist Church. She retired from the Warner Robins Air Force Base. She and her husband enjoyed traveling after their retirement and traveled to all 50 states and toured the world. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Florine Stuckey and Paulina Shaluta; brother, Harvey Valner Smith Jr. (Buddy).
Survivors include her husband, Milton Russell; daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Mel Hardy; son and daughter-in-law, Milton Eugene (Gene) and Diana Russell; grandchildren, Mindy and Heath Mason, Sherry and Fumi Kishitani, Angie and Henry Hunt, Milton Eugene Russell (Rusty); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Andrew Mason, Erika and Alisa Kishitani. Many special nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hilda Smith Russell will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00AM in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
