Funeral services for Mr. Scott Leroy Hand will be held Sunday at 1:30 pm at Stephens Funeral Home in DeKalb. Burial will follow in Bay Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Porterville.
Mr. Hand 79, of DeKalb, passed away on Wednesday. He was a retired aircraft mechanic who will be remembered as a very intelligent man and wonderful father. He was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and being a pilot, he developed a genuine love of flying. He will always be remembered as a very caring person. Mr. Hand was a member of DeKalb Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons Ryan Hand of Porterville, Todd Hand of Apex, NC; daughter Beth Russo of Corinth, MS; grandchildren Jake Hand, Olivia Hand, Sarah Hand, Kimberly Hand, Nick Russo, Chris Russo and Katie Russo.
Mr. Hand is also survived by a great grandchild Frank Sullivan and brother Charles Hand of Northern Ireland.
Pallbearers will be his sons Ryan and Todd, grandsons Nick and Chris Russo along with Johnny Puckett and Dean Puckett
Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 5pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
