Nancy T. Ewing, 78, of Pekin, Illinois passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the O.S.F. Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born November 9, 1937 in Springfield, IL to Joseph and Mary (Burkett) Schmelter. Nancy married Owen Ewing on January 30, 1960 in Springfield, IL.
Surviving is her husband Owen Ewing of Pekin, IL, daughter Kathy Renee (Jim) Taylor of Lewistown, IL, two granddaughters: Stacey and Emily, four great grandchildren: Jacob, Alyssa, Wesley, and Molly, and her niece Kimberly.
Nancy worked as a bookkeeper for Mr. Korsmeyer's Market in Pekin.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin for many years. Nancy's hobbies included gardening, taking care of her yard and home, and she was a wonderful seamstress.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Glendale Memorial Gardens mausoleum. Rev. Mike McLeod will officiate. Memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church in Pekin. Online tributes and condolences may be created at www.DavisonFultonWoolsey.com
