Bonnie Lee Glass, of 273 South Street, Fern Park, Florida, passed away on Friday February 19, 2016 at the age of 92. She is survived by a son and a daughter, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
She was born in Skirum, Alabama on April 30, 1923 and moved to Plymouth Florida around the age of 6. She attended High School in Apopka Florida where she received her High School Diploma. In 1943, Bonnie joined the Navy and served until 1945. Shortly after leaving the Navy, she married Thomas Smith and became a housewife raising her two children, Robert Wayne and Elizabeth Louise. She was widowed in 1959, but remarried in 1962, having another son, Michael Emerson. Additionally, Bonnie worked at Dayron Corporation for close to 20 years as an Operator, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church and her hobbies were sewing, gardening, and fishing. Of course spending time with her family and friends was important to her and she tried to stay in touch with everyone as often as possible.
Funeral arrangements will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home at 601 N Park Ave., Apopka, Florida. The viewing will be Friday 2-26-16 from 5 PM until 9 PM and the service will be Saturday 2-27-16 at 12 PM.
