Pauline Brown of Scalf, Kentucky, departed this life on Saturday, February 20, 2016 being 68 years, 7 months and 11 days of age. She was born July 9, 1947 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Charlie Brown and the late Cleo Mills Brown. She is also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters: William Brown, Hank Brown, Owens Brown, Victor Brown, Goble Brown, Ed Brown, Loretta Benttin, Dora Price and Mary Brown and one sister-in-law: Lily Brown. Pauline was a homemaker and a member of the Holiness Faith. She loved going to church and serving the Lord. She could often be found planting the most beautiful flowers or just riding her four wheeler. She also enjoyed spending her time with her two best friends Marth Merida and Nora Lee Baker.
Pauline leaves behind three sons: Randy Ray Brown, Hank Williams Brown, Goble Brown all of Scalf, Kentucky; one daughter: Dora Lynn Gambrel and husband Ricky of Scalf, Kentucky; one sister: Francis Jean Brown of Scalf, Kentucky; one brother: Bearl Brown and wife Hersie of Flat Lick, Kentucky; seven grandchildren: Alexis Lou Bingham, Brianna Bingham, Jaxon Jordan, Braxton Lewis, Travis Brown, Hunter Brown and Mikey Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service for Pauline Brown will be conducted on Thursday , February 25, 2016 at 2:00PM in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gilbert Collins and Rev. Kennon Roark officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Browns Branch Cemetery at Scalf with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM and on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 10:00AM until 9:00PM at Hampton Funeral Home.
