David K. "Dave" Dafforn, 77, of Ossian passed away Thursday, March 10, 2016. He was born on December 4, 1938 in Wells County to the late Dwight E. "Duke" and R. Bernice (Snyder) Dafforn. He served in the Indiana Air National Guard. He retired as a purchasing manager from Fruehauf Corporation in 1993 after 26 years of service. He also worked as a steel salesman at Midwest Roll Forming and Manufacturing. He was a long time member of Purchasing Manager Association. Surviving family include his wife, Nila; children, Jeoff (Melissa) Dafforn, Brian (Wendy) Dafforn, Tim Dafforn, Michelle (Mark) Davis, Mindy (Kevin) Skidmore; 21 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and brother, Robert Dafforn. Funeral service will be 10:30am on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Hope Missionary Church, 429 E. Dustman Rd., Bluffton, IN with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Monday, March 14, 2016 at Elzey Patterson Rodak Fuenral Home, 120 W. Mill St., Ossian, IN. Burial will be in Mossburg Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Alzheimer's Association.
