Barbara Lynn Peterson, 67, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2016, surrounded by family and friends after losing her battle with cancer. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie B. and Collen Owen.
Barbara is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Peterson; two children, Tracy (Archie) Rodriguez and Troy (Emily) Pitts; three stepchildren, Tracy Peterson Howard (Heath) Chris Peterson and Matt (Tritia) Peterson; brother, Foster (Marla) Owen; sister, Marsha Hubert; and Marsha’s daughter, Amy Hubert. Mimi, as she was known, is also survived by ten grandchildren: Aaron Lee Longoria, Courtney Rose Longoria, Katelynn Pitts, Faith Pitts, Grace Pitts, Will Pitts, Lucy Peterson, Tyler Peterson, Grae Peterson and Aadam Peterson.
Visitation will be Monday, March 21, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Taft. There will be a Graveside Service at 11:30 a.m. following the Service, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Corpus Christi, Texas.
The family would like to thank Altus Hospice Care, Dr. Gerard Voorhees and Dr. Mahmood for their wonderful care of Barbara during her illness.

We so enjoyed growing up in a small community where we knew everybody and had fun in THS. Very sad as we grow older and suffer in this world. But praise the Lord for the Glory of Heaven. Prayers for your family as they will miss your loving presents.
