Patricia Ann (Brown) Smiley, 73, of Staunton passed away Sunday, March 20, 2016 at her home with her family.
Born June 7, 1942 in Roanoke, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Carlyle and Daisy Reed (Creasy) Brown.
Patricia attended Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, Waynesboro. She worked as a bank teller for Bank of America in Staunton for many years until her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Brown.
Survivors include her two loving daughters, Jeanne McKenna and husband, James of North Potomac, MD and Dawn Smiley of Staunton; grandchildren, Katie and Colleen McKenna and her grandcat, Chyna.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Community Fellowship Church of the Nazarene, 2959 Hermitage Road, Waynesboro, with Pastor Jim Corbin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 25, 2016 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W. Frederick St., Staunton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Regional SPCA, P.O. Box 2014, Staunton, VA 24402.

Mrs. Smiley was a awesome lady. Her spirit lifted me every time I saw her. Her kindness will forever be with me. I still have the smiley face scrubby she gave to me at Christmas and I think of her every time I use it. God bless your family with great memories of her.
