Dear Vivian and Family,
May the presence of the Comforter surround you and guide you through this time of sorrow in the temporary loss of your beloved husband, friend and father. I had the privilege of working with Howard for over 20 years at Smith Transfer and Carolona Freight. He was a man of great character and imtegrity who loved his wife and family beyond measure. When the times of sorrow attempt to overcome you, remember this...Howard is now in the Presence of the One who loves him and you beyond measure. AND you have this hope that you will be reunited with Howard eternally.
Much love and many prayers,

My condolences, If my memory is not failing me, Mr Forbes was a district manager in the circulation department of the Charleston Daily Mail during the mid Fifties. (1956?).I delivered newspapers for the Daily Mail and remember him as being a fine example of an adult to look up to. I hope I am not embarrassing myself. If my membory is correct, he was a Medic in the Army during the Korean war. He took some of us to the Army Reserve Center in So Charleston and we got to help clean weapons in the arms room. Big fun for twelve year olds. Sincerest condolences. William Riffle
