Lawrence "Larry" Hernandez went to be with the Lord at the age of 79. He was born on September 5, 1936 the son of Joselino Hernandez and Lucia Aragon-Hernandez in Ft. Morgan, Colorado. Larry was raised in Las Vegas, New Mexico and at the age of 9 he returned to Ft. Morgan and eventually moving to Wattenberg. He grew up into a young man (aka "Shadow").
Larry married Geneva Pacheco and together they raised their seven children in Greeley. Family was his whole heart.
Larry enjoyed fishing, buying and working on old cars. He was a jack of all trades and an inventor around his house. He was a hard worker and had a great sense of humor.
Larry retired from the City of Evans and resided in Gill, Colorado at the time of his death.
Larry is survived by his wife Geneva "Jenny" Pacheco-Hernandez; two sons Larry Hernandez of Greeley and Frank "Pancho" Hernandez of Gill; four daughters Ruth Hernandez, Alice Hernandez, Sofia Hernandez (Watson) all of Greeley and Barbara Hernandez of Aurora, Colorado; one brother Joe; three sisters Lucy, Marcella and Rosa; 22 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 25 great-great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by a son Robert "Bobby" Hernandez, his parents Joselino and Lucia Hernandez, a step-mother Maria Hernandez; two brothers Andreas "Andy" and Floyd, and a sister Isabel Hernandez Surano.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 followed by Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. both at Stoddard Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hernandez I am so sorry for your loss. You and the family are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. Please if there is anything we can do please let us know. I wish I was there to give you a hug .We know he is in a better place but it wont be the same for you with out your husband. He was a great man did so much for Roberta and Angelo.
