LELAND EDWARD STINE, 94, of Fairfield, IL passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1:25pm at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.
Leland was born March 11, 1922 in Cisne, IL to Earl M. and Wenona A. (Hubble) Stine. He was preceded in death by his wives Mary Lou Murphy, Joy E. Higdon and Betty Xanders.
Leland was an avid outdoorsman, retired jeweler from Stine Jewelers, WWII Veteran and a member of First Christian Church at Fairfield, IL, VFW, American Legion and the Elks.
Leland is survived by two daughters Anita Donath of Chicago, IL and Sara (Gary) Ross of Overland Park, KS; one son Edward (Mary) Stine; Prairie Village, KS. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
Leland was preceded in death by his three wives and parents.
Per Leland's wishes, cremation rites were accorded.
Please join us for a Celebration of Life for L. E. Stine. The family will host an informal gathering at his home at 601 N. First St. in Fairfield, IL Wednesday, April 20th from 6-10PM. Food and drinks will be provided.
