I wasn't able to be at the viewing or service, but I worked with Scott at FWCS. He was always a joy to work with. He was an asset to our district, as evidenced by the love the kids at Miami had for him. I will miss working with him. Continuing to pray for your family as you adjust to life without Scott.

Prayers and peace for your family . My children had Scott as a teacher at Norwell. He was awesome and they never forgot how much fun he was ! I had the privilege of chaperoning a field trip with his class - he said I was the best chaperone! Encouraged me to continue to do that for my children ! Thank you Scott!!! You will be so missed

We live just down the street from where Scott lived. Although I never knew him personally, I would often see him riding his bicycle with his kids. I remember a few years back seeing him riding his bike with his daughter's attached via a bar behind his. I remember thinking what a good dad he must be. So sorry for this loss. We're praying for his family. ~Nena Troutman

I was a college professor for many years and had too many students to count. There are only a few I remember in great detail. Of course, Scott was one of those. His creativity, sense of humor, and unique way of looking at the world made each class a delight. I have not seen him in years, but I feel his absence in the world. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

In over twenty years as a New York City guide I've worked with hundreds of teachers, but Scott Hanni was someone I looked forward to working with every year. His enthusiasm was infectious and his care and concern for his students was inspiring.
I am so saddened by the loss of Scott, but so grateful for having known him.

Craig, Beth, Family. I can't think of the right words to say. I need Scott's help. He always knew what to say, or he'd just make something up. I can't remember the last time I saw you or even when I saw him in person. I've seen his regular Facebook posts to which I've responded often. We exchanged texts and phone calls, generally about bowling or our past 'Good Times' memories. I can't believe that's all over. I know I'll always remember him. I'm sure you have many more stories to tell than I do. Tell them with a smile. He would like that.
