Funeral Services for Oliver Clark will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 12:15pm at Stephens Funeral Home in Union with Rev. Thomas Fortenberry officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be held at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Newton. Stephens Funeral Home of Union is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Clark was a very loving husband and father. He was a veteran and served during the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Estell and Lurena Walker Clark; two brothers: Issac Clark and Ernest Clark.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Harriet "Tootsie" Burroughs Clark; daughters: Judy Clark Underwood and husband, Murry, Libby Fisher and husband, Phillip and Beverly Long and husband, Greg; son, Stacey Clark and wife, Brenda; sisters: Irene Thompson, Bernice Hoyt and Dodie Davidson; brothers: L.C. Clark and Randal Clark; seven grandchildren: Chris Fisher and wife, Kate, Brad Underwood, Dassie Fisher, Nickey Underwood, Heather Johnson Ammon and husband, Robert, Jay Johnson and Hailey Clark; four great grandchildren: Alyssa Underwood, Sophie Ammon, Blair Ammon and Emmett Ammon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Ireland Baptist Church, 9397 Highway 492, Union, MS 39365 or a charity of your choice.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
