Dennis "Bill" Mills of Flat Lick, departed this life on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Baptist Health Lexington being 59 years, 8 months and 25 days of age. He was born on August 25, 1956 in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Victor Mills and the late Wealtha Bargo Mills. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers Estill Mills and Hershell Mills; two sisters Alieen Bargo and Helen Woolum and a special nephew Dillard Tink Bargo. Bill believed in the Baptist faith and was a member of Salt Gum Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors in the fresh air. Bill spent much of his time taking care of his dogs. He was a proud grandfather who loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Bill leaves behind to mourn his passing his loving wife of 38 years Brenda Baker Mills; his son Dennis Mills; his two granddaughters: Mackenzie Mills and Jaymon Mills; three sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A funeral service for Dennis "Bill" Mills will be conducted on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Salt Gum Baptist Church with Rev. Kennon Roark and Rev. Jerry Smith officiated. He will be laid to rest in the Mackroe Cemetery at Salt Gum with his nephews serving as pallbearers and his Fox Hunting Buddies serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM at Hampton Funeral Home and on Wednesday, May 25, 2016 from 10:00AM until the funeral hour at the church.
