Mary Helen Long, 93, passed away on May 26, 2016. Mrs. Long was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on July 18, 1922. Private services will be held in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Mrs. Long and her husband, Edwin Clifford Long, were married for 66 years. They returned to Texas after Mr. Long retired from his job with Keene Corporation. They enjoyed playing golf and fishing as they traveled to almost every state in the country. They also enjoyed their summer home in Colorado. Mrs. Long was also very active in the Methodist church.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy Kneen and husbandTerry of Florida; sister, Betty King and husband Bill of Houston; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Emogene Hall of Lufkin.
Mrs. Long was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Clifford Long; her son, Kenneth Edwin Long; parents, Ethel (Boone) and Leo Hall; and brothers, Bill Hall and Sy Hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mrs. Long's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, TX 75904 or to a charity of your choice.
