Services for Earline Ramos, 88, of Nacogdoches, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2016 in the Oakley-Metcalf Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Moral Cemetery in Nacogdoches.
Mrs. Ramos was born November 24, 1927 in Lufkin, Texas, the daughter of the late Annie (Rodrigues) and Richard "Dick" Lazarine. She passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in a local nursing facility.
Mrs. Ramos was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a business owner for 38 years and was affectionately known as Ms. Earline to her customers.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Rita and Barry Dobbs and Leia and Kelley Holcomb; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tammy Carmichael, Brandon Renfro, Bradley Stringer, Jacob Welch, Jason Holcomb, Michael Holcomb and David Holcomb; sister and brother-in-law, Louise and John Foster; and sister, Lois Molandes.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ramos was preceded in death by her sisters, Viola Rodrigues and Marie Lout; brother, Dennis "Buck" Lazarine; and great-grandson, Cody Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Barry Dobbs, Kelley Holcomb, Brandon Renfro, Bradley Stringer, Jacob Welch and Paul Vinson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ramos' family wishes to thank Dr. Michael Huber and the staffs of Lufkin Skilled Nursing and Bristol Hospice, and personal caregivers Bonnie and Jackie for the loving care shown to her.
