Andrew Naples, of Old Saybrook, died suddenly on May 31, 2016, in New Haven.
He was born on April 27, 1956, in Middletown, the son of Rosemary Naples of Old Saybrook, and the late Arnold Naples.
Andrew attended Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore. He was a machine operator at Silgan Plastics in Deep River for 29 years. He was also a hairdresser and a CNA. He enjoyed travelling to Ireland and France.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his siblings, William Naples of CA, Ellie Napolitano of Colchester, Tom Naples and his wife Mary of Wallingford, and Ed Napolitano of Jewett City, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Sat. June 4th at 11am in St. Mark the Evangelist Church, McVeagh Rd., Westbrook. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Old Saybrook. I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was Andrew's supervisor at Silgan Plastics for about three years and learned a lot about life while working with Andrew. He was a kind, compassionate and trustworthy person. He stayed true to who he was and never strayed away from the person he was. It was an absolute pleasure having known him and I will miss him deeply.
