Today is Jan 11,2017.I was looking up Shirley's address to send her a card.I did not know she had passed.Shirley was a wonderful person.Joe hired me to work at Leisure Lodge many years ago and we shared a birthday-Jan 21. I always thought that's why he hired me! He was 20 years my senior and he didn't want his birthday mentioned! Happy birthday to Joe and so long to Shirley, love Linda Johnson Miller, Hackett, Ar

Shirley was my Church teacher when I was a teenager. She was very special to me and I always appreciated the way she treated me and taught me. I loved my Church and was lucky enough to have amazing people be there for me. She will always be a wonderful memory for me. You have my sympathy.

Shirley was one of my very favorite people in this world. She was sweet and kind always. We attended church together for years and I was so proud to call her my friend. I know she is with Joe again and for that I am happy but I will surely miss her here with us.

I was blessed to share Bible Study at FBC in Hartford a few years ago and get to know Shirley. She was such a gracious lady and to know her was to love her. I was in the same class as Joe for six weeks at Hartford as a junior before we moved back to California again. I moved back here in 2004 to be with my sister Betty Fildes who was there to welcome Shirley to her new home. God's blessings on her family in your loss.

Shirley was such a great friend to my Mom and myself. I have many fond memories of her and she was a true example of a devoted Christian.
She helped my Mom get thru many tough times during their 45 years of friendship, by always being a great friend and having such a caring and genuine soul. Shirley also did a very awesome thing for me prior to my move to Dallas, TX. In 1981.
I will never forgot her and all her caring and generosity.
I'm happy to know that her and Mom are in heaven rejoicing together once again.
