WA Luckey, long-time Forney resident, went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2016. WA lived in Forney for over 45 years with his wife of 63 years, Joyce Luckey. He was a WWII veteran, taught Sunday School over the years, and was a member of First Baptist Forney. He loved the outdoors, raised all kinds of animals, and loved to work in the yard and garden.
WA was born in 1923 in the East Texas town of Peerless to William and Ada Luckey. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and 10 brothers and sisters. He is survived by son Mark Luckey, son Greg Luckey and wife Debbie, grandson Leighton and wife Rosalie, and granddaughter Kyndall.
Services will be directed by their friend and pastor of 45 years, Rev. Jerry Griffin of First Baptist Forney.
