Mary Ann Fisher, 85, of Mt. Carmel, Illinois went to be with her Lord and the love of her life on July 11, 2016 in Evansville, Indiana.
Mary Ann was born in Enfield, Illinois on August 29, 1930. She was a member of the Grayville First Christian Church. She graduated from Albion High School.
Mary Ann worked at the dental office in Albion where she made fillings. She met her future husband there, and they married on March 12, 1950. Don and Mary Ann, along with son Paul Robert, won the Illinois Target Archery Family Team Championship three consecutive years.
Later, she worked for the Wabash Community Unit School District #348 as a cook, and then became the first female school bus driver for the district. She was a member of, and very active with, the Wabash County Farm Bureau, the Homemakers Extension, and the Bellmont Ruritan Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Dennis) Payne; daughter-in-law, Sharon Fisher; grandchildren: Matt (Tara) Fisher, Karla Fisher, Eric (Amanda) Fisher, and Laurel Payne; and great-grandchildren: Andrew Fisher, Katelyn Fisher, and Emily Fisher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Robert Donald Fisher, and son, Paul Robert.
Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at Ingram Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois.
