I was a part of what Dr Hunt referred to as his A-Team at Cabell. We worked together from 1997 until his retired. He was a very knowledgeable and a fine surgeon to work with. Working with him, I learned alot. He enjoyed teaching and sharing stories about his family and how proud he was of each of them.

We met Dr. Hunt shortly after my husband and I moved to the Huntington area to begin practicing internal medicine in 1993. Even though we were fresh out of residency, he treated us with respect and a welcoming attitude, as though we had been colleagues all along. He was such a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

I first met Dr. Hunt back in 1982 working as a young RN on a medical surgical floor and was deeply impressed by his kindness and depth of knowledge. My late husband John Surya went to work part-time in Dr. Hunt's office as his office RN and had so much love and respect for Dr. Hunt. It was an honor to know and work with him and see how much his patients loved him.
My condolences to you all on your loss. May God comfort you as you grieve.

The passing of Dr. Hunt is such a sadness. He was always a gentleman, kind and patient, when I would work with him at Cabell O.R.. He always had a smile and a kind word. Such a wonderful person. Sympathy and prayers for his family.

David, Peter and Debbie... I am so sorry for your loss. Dr. Hunt was a wonderful man and will be missed by all that knew him. He was a great man and an excellent doctor. His compassion and determination to help others was beyond compare. I will always remember the good times we had in the office and how he cared for my family members, as well as myself. Just hold on to your memories of him and remember how much he loved you all and take comfort in knowing he is at rest now. God bless and keep you all.

I was so sorry to read of the passing of my friend John. We met as aspiring writers early in both our careers and maintained that friendship over many years. He actually came to writing through his attempts to document his genealogy. I hope he completed that as well. What a dear man. He'll be missed. Bless you all.
