Frances C. Garrity (nee Smith), 88, of Pace, Florida passed away peacefully on July 23, 2016.
Born on June 26, 1928 to the late Parker and Helen (Horan) Smith, Frances was raised in West Haven, Connecticut.
Mrs. Garrity resided in Montclair, NJ and Madison, CT where she devoted herself to raising her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph R. Garrity and is survived by son Master Chief Petty Officer (USN) Daniel J. Garrity ( Ret ) and his wife Stephanie of Pace, Florida, and daughter Maureen F. Pollio and her husband Paul of Denville, NJ and 11 dear grandchildren.
Frances was preceded in death by her sons, Joseph, James, and Michael and daughter Kathleen.
Calling hours will be from 9:30 – 10:45 on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Swan Funeral Home, 825 Boston Post Road, Madison, CT, followed by a committal at West Cemetery, Madison.

Oh Maureen, how sad to read your Mom's name tonight, but I'm also recalling her sweet nature during our long ago high school days. Her patience while we made those pilgrimages to Bonds many summer nights! You have friends from IC who remember you well, and who wish you well. My prayers and condolences to you, Paul and your sons.
