Memorial services for Archie Darwin Robinson, 81, are scheduled for 1 pm Wednesday, August 3, 2016, at the Crossroads Church in Canton with Eldon Chalker officiating, under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home, Canton, TX.
Mr. Robinson passed away at home on July 23, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 15, 1934, in Falls County, TX to Clyde Lemuel and James Lillie Darby Robinson.
Archie grew up in Oak Cliff, TX where he went to Roger Q. Mills, Boud Storey and Adamson High School. He served in the National Guard and then retired from Western Electric after 30 years. Archie also worked for Mesquite ISD for over 10 years. He was a member of Crossroads Church.
Mr. Robinson enjoyed family gatherings because his family was everything to him. He also enjoyed traveling with his granddaughter, Ginny, and fishing.
Mr. Robinson is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Aretes Frazier and Linda Boyd; and a brother, James Robinson.
Archie is survived by his wife, Joan Harvey Robinson; two daughters: Susan Robinson Buschmann and husband, Toby, and Bethany Robinson Harris and husband, Bruce; two grandchildren: Ginny Buschmann Hanna and husband, Jake, and Elle Harris; one great-grandson, Sutton John Hanna; best friend, Wayne Webb and his family; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
