Genovesi, Paul M., 42, passed away Monday, August 1, 2016. Born in Providence, the son of John and Martha (White) Genovesi, he had lived in Warren and was a long time resident of Barrington. He most recently resided in Warwick.
A 1991 graduate of Barrington High School he went on to earn a Business Management degree from the University of Rhode Island. He worked as a Business Management Officer for the Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training.
Paul will be sorely missed by his parents, brother, John Genovesi and wife Liz of East Hampton, NY; sister, Amanda Genovesi of Barrington; longtime love, Nikki Gelsomino of Warwick and his nephews, Anthony Genovesi and Tucker Genovesi.
Of most importance to Paul were his relationships with his family and friends. He enjoyed playing and watching sports, attending concerts, hiking (climbing Mt. Washington with Nikki), watching movies (endlessly quoting movie lines with his brother), spending time with his nephews, Nikki, & Jared playing video games. He enjoyed playing golf with his father and meeting with his mother, never missing an episode of The Walking Dead. Paul was always an amazing big brother and best friend to his sister Amanda.
Paul will be remembered always for his enormous heart, generosity, compassion, protective nature, non judgemental listening ear, sense of humor, kindness, ability to be silly, and his contagious smile.
The family will be having a private memorial service to celebrate Paul's life.

It has taken me days to try to find the right words to express the loss we all feel. DLT is not the same without Paul's smiling face, humor and kindness. I will especially miss our daily talks. Football season won't be the same without our Pats v. Jets rivalry. And, we never did get to play golf this year. My only hope is that Paul went to his final resting place knowing how many lives he touched and how much he will be missed. Rest in Peace, my friend. My deepest sympathy to the family.
