My Aunt Gin was a second Momma to me. I can remember several times staying at her house on school days because I was "sick" and half way through the day I would start asking her to go play outside and she would never let me because I was supposed to be sick. As I got older she was always a person that I could talk to. She checked me out of school every single day my senior year of high school and always took me to lunch, Perico's or Yamato, she would never go anywhere else, and she did NOT like it if I was late. She always listened to me as I would ramble on about what was going on in my life, and she never got tired of listening, or at least she didn't tell me if she did. She was truly one of my very best friends. We always talked about going to Graceland together, and getting tattoos together(even though she knew she couldn't get a tattoo.) We shared several laughs, and tears together. No matter what she was always there, always by my side, supporting me. I am thankful for the wonderful 21 years that I had her in my life. I will forever miss her, I will miss the cards I got from her no matter the occasion, her sweet tea, her sense of humor, her smile, and her laugh, but I know she will always be with me, until I see her again.

Linda was my playmate when we were young, my partner in crime as early teens, we shared a bed but not cover, we shared whoopings and fun. We shared things I can't talk about except to say that we never told on each other. We shared secrets that we never told. We worked at Aunt Hatties Kitchen together. We tried smoking together and hated it and never took the habit. She would meet my boyfriend at the door and kiss him before me. She went with me on my dates. When she got sick she stayed with me and we picked up where we left off. My heart is broken. There is a hole in my heart that can't be filled. There was only one Linda, sister I will take you with me where ever this life takes me. Until I see you again.

Aunt Gin's door was always open, she always had a cold pitcher of sweet tea and a bag of grapes!(I still owe her my first nursing check to replace all that I ate) we spent many nights watching movies and exchanging books to read. As I grew older she became a close friend who attended Drs appts and ultra sounds with me! She always loved me as if I were her own. She will be missed greatly in our lives

I spent a lot of my childhood with my Aunt Gin. I have many great memories. She always said I was her daughter and she just let momma raise me, (not true of course) but she loved me that much. I was always cherish the times I spent with her and I will especially miss her potato salad.
