So sad to hear of Dane's passing. He was a great friend, bandmate, and influence back in our high school days. I can still remember his quick wit, brilliant sense of humor, and kindness as if it were yesterday. I will you miss you old friend.

Kevin and I were Dane's across the street Estes Ave neighbors. We are sincerely sorry for your loss. From the moment we moved into the Rogers Park area Dane was quick to introduce himself and to encourage us to be mindful of watching out for one another and our great neighborhood as he was key to the many years in which he was expertly involved in CAPS, Neighborhood Watch, etc. He love his neighborhood!! A brilliant and engaging fella....Our best memories will always be about the annual Halloween gatherings at Becky's and Denise's home, right next door to Dane's. We had great conversations, fun times scaring kids in our costumes and from a makeshift coffin...donning a real carved out pumpkin head...how we laughed...all the while scarfing down way too much candy ourselves. Also, his devotion to stray animals...we think Zeke was our Mikey cat's brother! Good times...Dane's absence from the neighborhood has been sorely felt...he was an institution within Rogers Park...Thank You Dane...it was an honor knowing you...May your years of showering us with your wisdom, caring, guidance as well mostly of your blessings and kindness live amongst us forever.

In Life, Dane was kind, thoughtful, Highly Intellegent,Diplomatic and appreciated by his Many Friends. In Death, anyone would be hard pressed to say anything Negative about him. And that is the true measure of any Man, how he is remembered,
