I'm so sorry to hear of Rusty's passing. We worked together at AT&T back in the day (80's) in operator services. I'm still working for the company...that's how I found out. Every month they post the passing of current employees & retirees. When I saw Rusty's name, my heart dropped. He was such a kind, sweet, gentle soul. I pray his family finds comfort in wonderful memories.

My precious son i miss you so. You were always such a good little boy and your daddy enjoyed the time spent with you when you were in Little League and then enjoyed watching all sports with you. Especially baseball. You were and you still are so loved and so missed. My last words to you were I'll
see you at home. And i will. mama

Though I have not seen my cousin Rusty in years, I will always remember him as being one of the kindest hearts I have ever known. He had a great sense of humor and a smile that could fill a room, though he himself was mostly quiet. He will be greatly missed by so many whose worlds were blessed with him in it.

I'm so saddened by Rusty's passing. The last couple of days my mind has been filled with childhood memories. Spending nights at aunt Amy's house, playing cowboys and Indians, Rusty, my brother and me roaming the woods that used to be all around aunt Amy's house. Beach trips, Lake Downs, camping and fishing in the mountains, cookouts at grandma's house. I have lost touch with Rusty over the years, as I have with most all of my cousins. The last time I saw or spoke with him was 16 years ago as we stood side by side as pall bearers at our grandmother's funeral. Sincere condolences to aunt Amy, Linda, Becky and Robert, Rusty's children and all of the family. May we all be comforted by the memories of that good and kind person.
