Jacquelyn S. Daley (Charest), 83, of Southington passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the St. Elizabeth Center at The Curtis Home in Meriden after a long illness.
Jackie was born on November 16, 1932 in New Haven to Raymond Charest Sr. and Emily Watrous. She worked as a rate clerk for Smith's Transfer for 24 years.
Jackie is survived by her sons, Kevin Daley of Meriden, Kerry Daley and wife Diane of Meriden, and William Daley and wife Lisa of Meriden, five grandchildren, three great-children, as well as special friends Sandy Hills and Herta Marin. She is predeceased by her sisters, Elizabeth Gullo, Marjorie Charest, Ellen Gudelski, Elphy Perlot; brothers Raymond Charest, Jr. and William Charest as well as one grandson, Douglas Daley.
Burial will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at In Memoriam Cemetery, 18 Maplewood Ave., Wallingford, CT.
The family would like to thank the second floor caregivers of the St. Elizabeth Center at The Curtis Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Curtis Home, 380 Crown St., Meriden, CT 06450.

I am one of the laundry attendants from the Curtis home..Ms. Jackie Daley was my favorite resident.(I loved her blue eyeshadow).... we would talk together laugh together even at times cry together..everyday she told me she loved me..Nd I loved her as well.. she made my job alot easier..seeing her everyday made my work all worth while....I'm very upset that I will no longer view her in the physical anymore ..I know she is in a better place and no longer has to suffer... SLEEP PEACEFULLY MS.JACKIE DALEY YOU WILL TRUELY BE MISSED ND YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE A PLACE IN MY HEART! until we meet again !
