Louis William "Bill" Dasher, 83, of Fort Wayne passed away Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was born on March 20, 1933, a son of the late Louis A. and Alma (Troutman) Dasher. He served in the U.S. Army. He worked at General Electric and later at Bowmar Industries for 36 years before retiring. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, walking, and later in life playing bingo where he earned the name "Lucky Louie". Surviving family include his daughter, Sarah Dasher-Bialas; grandchildren, Derrick A. Thomas, Jr., Porsha S. Bialas, Socrates O. Bragg; five great grandchildren; sister, Joy Maiden; brother, David Dasher; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by his wife, Patricia (Dorsey) Dasher; and a brother, Donald Dasher. Funeral service will be 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Dr., Fort Wayne with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or Visiting Nurse.
