Sharon Sue Moyers Edwards
Mrs. Sharon Sue Moyers Edwards age 59, of New Tazewell was born November 24, 1956 and passed away September 15, 2016 at UT Medical Center. She professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Lily Grove Baptist Church, and became a member of Straight Creek Baptist Church. She was employed with DeRoyal industries for 29 years. She was an advocate for abused women. Sharon worked at the Cease Shelter in Tazewell, where she made a difference in the lives of many women and children for many years.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ricky Lynn Moyers and mother-in-law Nadine Edwards. Grandparents Otis and Bernice Moyers, John and Arista Cline.
Sharon is survived by her loving husband Doug Edwards.
Parents: Shade and Aimee Moyers.
Brother: Tony Joe Moyers and wife Tammy.
Father-in-law: Jr Edwards and wife Bobbie.
Brother-in-law: David Edwards and wife Mary Lee.
Loving aunt to Bradley Collins and wife Keri, Tyler Moyers and wife Katie, Tanner Moyers, Trey Moyers, Toni Anna Moyers, and Joel Edwards.
Great nephews Luke and Jacob Collins.
Special Aunt and Uncles: Beryl (Nae) and late husband Edward Woods of Seymour, Maude Wallace and husband Ed of Knoxville, Jackie Neely and late husband Junior of Tazewell, Kimbel Moyers and wife Mildred, Dennis Moyers and wife Georgia all of New Tazewell, Royal Cline and wife Janice of Kingston, Christine Rosenbalm and late husband William of New Tazewell, and Joann Bailey and husband Grover of New Tazewell.
As well as a host of cousins who were very dear to Sharon.
Special friends: Fay Yeary, and Glenn and Ramona Greer.
The family will receive friends Sunday September 18th from 5 until 9 PM at Coffey Funeral Home in Tazewell. The funeral service will be Monday September 19th at 11 AM in the Coffey Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery.
