Dorothy Lee Sovine Lamb, 87, of Nitro, WV departed this life, Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 at her home at the Village on Park.
She was born on Jan. 11, 1929 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late Arnold and Jessie Hammons Sovine. She was a devout Christian and truly loved the Lord. She loved her West Virginia Mountaineers, the Cincinnati Reds, and her West Virginia hotdogs.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sharon Lamb Dye and her husband, Larry; her son Michael Wayne Lamb and his wife, Mary; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wayne Lamb; her sister Viola Sovine Gray; and her two brothers, Ernest and Carl Sovine.
Services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 pm at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Rob Van Fossen officiating. Interment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens.
Visitation will from noon to 1:00 pm prior to the service.
