Selmer Ardin Frick, 93, went to be with the Lord September 30, 2016. He was born on January 26, 1923 in Beresford, South Dakota to Carl and Nannie Frick. Selmer served our country in the US Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune from 1945-1946. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Selmer farmed in South Dakota until 1971 when he moved to Bella Vista to become a building contractor. Selmer was a deacon in the Bella Vista Baptist Church for years, he was also a member and deacon of Alcester Baptist Church, Alcester, South Dakota. After retiring he worked with several volunteer organizations including Sowers, building and repairing churches, homeless shelters and camps.
Selmer was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers; Laverne, Dale and Lloyd Frick, son; Larry Frick. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years; Shirley Lounsbery Frick, three children; Lynn Frick (Sally), Mary Armstrong (Michael), Paul Frick (Tracy), six grandchildren; Kevin Frick (Amy), Ellen Sparks (Robb), Chandler Armstrong, Trevor Armstrong (Amy), Aaron and Alex Frick, five great grandchildren; Jonathan, Austin and Brayden Armstrong, Olivia and William Frick, three sister-in-law’s; Dorothy Frick, Ann Sproul, Ruth Morud and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
