Annette (Neussbaum) Kashar, 97, of Uncasville, formerly of Reseda, California, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Annette was born on August 21, 1919 in Brooklyn, New York, to Samuel and Rose (Ulen) Neussbaum. She attended New York University and graduated with an Associates Degrees in Business. She fell in love and married Simon on August 8, 1942. They had a wonderful life together for 63 years until his passing on June 24, 2005 at the age of 91.
They had two children Marc and Fran, both born in Brooklyn, New York in 1947 and 1951 respectively. The family moved to North Hollywood in 1951 when Simon, who worked for Hickock Men's wear, received a transfer and a promotion to the Los Angeles, California area as District Manager.
Life was good for the family. Annette made a wonderful home, loved playing bridge with family and friends, enjoyed planning and having parties at our home, and was a wonderful mother. She always tried to make sure that nothing was lacking.
In later years, Annette became a caregiver to Sy as cancer took some of the fun out of life. She was there round the clock taking care of his needs for many years and to the wonder of his doctors, he made a full recovery and spent many extra years of enjoyment together traveling the world and visiting many European countries.

Annette was an amazing lady and I loved the way she was always so positive and upbeat. I remember what fun Fran used to have taking her shopping, to lunch and to get their hair & nails done. I know Annette will be truly missed.

Kathy and Nettie's family: Steve and I met Nettie at Orchard Grove. Both were patients there. Nettie would always give Steve encouragement when doing his therapy. She nicknamed him "Papa", she made him smile and he in turn would encourage Nettie to walk the rails. She and Kathy were always friendly and cheerful, we appreciated their friendships.Rest in peace dear Nettie. Love: Barbara & Steve Rich

Our hearts go out to you and the entire family on the loss of such a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. We wish she had lived just 1 more day to witness the birth of the newest member of her extended family, our sweet new baby, Emily Grace, granddaughter of Lorin and Janet Lapins and daughter of Wayne and Kimberly Watts. Annette was always telling us how important this baby is and would have enjoyed sharing in the excitement of her arrival. I believe she must have been smiling down on us with great pleasure that day. We will miss her each and every day and wish safe journeys through the path she has chosen.

We wish we could be with you for Shiva. Please know we're there in our hearts. Eva's favorite moments with Aunt Annette were when they spoke on the phone and Aunt Annette said, "Hello Dawling!!" That always made her smile. I will miss my lovely aunt.
Love,
Sam
