Daniel "Dan" Levesque, age 57, of Dartmouth, passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 in Rhode Island Hospital caused by a motorcycle accident. He was the beloved husband of Vivian (Thompson) Levesque with whom he shared over 36 years of marriage.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I first knew Dan from several hunting trips we made to Canada along with my sons ,Robbie Thompson and others. Whenever I met Dan at Humphreys lumber it was always a very friendly and pleasant experience. He was always friendly to my sons and they always spoke well of Dan. He will be missed by my family.

Vivian, Shawn, Jake & family, Laura, and Bob;
We are deeply saddened at the news of Dan's passing. Knowing him when we were kids around Stafford Rd. led to Dan building a home for Sue and me almost 30 years ago. He has spent endless hours creating and supporting renovations in our home.
He was a good friend to us and a skilled craftsman. He always made time to chat, and to share ideas and stories. His spirit and creativity will always be with us.

Dan did a lot of work at my home, and I felt so blessed to have him. Not only did he do first rate carpentry and building, but he was a real gentleman, always courteous, always true to his word. He will be sorely missed by anyone who was lucky enough to get to know him, or to benefit from his great skill.

Mrs. Levesque, you don't know me. I heard of this tragedy through your brother Paul whom I see at work. I wanted you to know that I live around the corner from you. I lost my 25 year old son in mid 2015. The lord has given us so much strength and he will do the same for you and your family. Reading this guest book brought me so much comfort and that's why I felt I should send you a message. "Remember that the Lord has a reason for everything." My deepest sympathies.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Levesque throughout my teens. Spent a lot of time around him when I would go over to hang out with Jake. He was always smiling laughing. Just a perfect role model for his sons and all of us. Whether we would sit outside by fire or him teaching lessons on the pool table downstairs. I still don't think he ever lost on his pool table, he was the most caring thoughtful human I had the joy of meeting/knowing. Jake Shawn Cassie Savy and Mrs Levesque I am heartbroken and devastated by this loss. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. His memory will live on love and miss you Mr. Levesque.

We were shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Dan's tragic death. Dan has done work for us for almost 30 years and we became friends. He was a wonderful person and honest contractor. He took pride in his work and always wanted to be sure we were satisfied.
Our hearts and condolences go out to the family, and especially to Vivian, Shawn, Jacob and Dan's mother. Although we have never met, Dan made us feel like we knew you because he always spoke so proudly of his family.
The world has lost a very special person. We know that God will take care of you Dan, and your family. Rest in peace.

My father in law was truly amazing man. Anyone who he encountered knew he had a huge heart and would always think of others before himself. He was my second father and would give the shirt off his back for myself my husband and his granddaughter. It is huge tragedy that he was taken so soon. Our family will never be the same. I am blessed that I was able to share over 12 years of my life with someone so genuine and compassionate as Dan. Family was everything to him and I was lucky enough to be part of it and share so many memories and smiles with him. His memory will always live on.

Viv, Shawn and Jacob ~ Danny was an extraordinary guy in many ways. I will always remember when Big Art and I met you both and the wonderfully friendship we had over the years. His devotion to Art during the most unbearable time and his continued support and love for Shannon will never be forgotten. You and Dan had the most wonderful life and you will always have beautiful memories of your life together. You have a lot of faith and you know you will be together again one day. I take a little comfort in knowing that Art was waiting for Dan with open arms.
My heart is so heavy with sadness for you and your family. My deepest sympathy to you all and much love always. Rebecca DeFusco
